The Continuous Improvement (CI) Coach serves as an expert consultant to the organization by developing and deploying programs for the achievement of a culture of quality and continuous improvement.  The CI Coach develops the organization’s knowledgebase and ability to apply lean/six sigma principles, A3 management, continuous improvement programs, and quality initiatives by educating and coaching others. - Applies Lean principles and promotes adoption of standard work practices aimed at improving quality, safety, and flow. - Develop and deploy educational packages, tools, and systems to build quality, lean, problem solving and CI knowledge amongst all employees. - Coach staff, managers, and directors through knowledge transfer and adoption of lean thinking, problem solving, and CI. Patient Access Coordinators (PAC) are the gateway to care for our applicants to become patients with one-call resolution.  PAC’s will answer calls live, doing a high level assessment to determine clinical appropriateness for one of our facilities and verification of benefits.  PAC’s will collaborate with a number of other roles within the organization to provide resolution for the caller in the first call and to set up an appointment for a clinical assessment when appropriate.  Customer service and sales are important skills, along with the ability to multi-task. - Utilize customer service and sales skills to provide resolution to caller’s needs. - Conduct screening to determine clinical fit for Hazelden Betty Ford substance abuse services. - Obtain financial and insurance/benefit information in order to determine eligibility to participate in the programs available through HBFF locations. - Manage patient caseload to ensure conversion to admit. - Ensure appropriate documentation is recorded in patient record to facilitate complete and accurate registration in the EHR.

The Financial Advocate supports patients nationally from the onset of admission through their discharge from services. In this capacity, they work to educate patients specifically on their financial responsibility associated with treatment. This generally includes, review of private pay or commercial insurance options, accurate accounting of costs, and forecasting of future costs for all levels of care. Coordinate the collection of outcomes data by telephone and email from current and former Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation patients and family members of former patients. The Clinical Outcomes Analyst will serve as the primary analyst and manager of survey data collected by the Butler Center for Research to meet the data analytic needs of high-quality applied research projects, evaluation, and assessments for internal and external stakeholders (e.g., clinical leaders, executives, industry partners, peer-reviewed manuscripts, etc.). The Data and Outcomes Manager for Family Immersion and Dual Enhanced Program will work collaboratively under the Research Scientist to manage the research team’s operationalization and execution of high-quality applied research projects, clinical research studies, evaluation and assessments services for industry partners and executives.   They will also work closely under the Research Scientist to oversee, coordinate, and help support the Program Assistants (PA) for the Family Immersion and Dual Enhanced programs in managing and conducting confidential and accurate clinical outcomes data collection.
