Ensure the provision of optimum nursing services delivery at the site level through supervision, implantation, and evaluation of Best Practices and key clinical processes.  Provide direction and supervision for health care employees such as professional nursing and allied health care staff, as well as overseeing clinical and technical issues. As a psychiatrist at Hazelden Betty Ford, you would join a multi-disciplinary team of professionals who assess and treat patients who suffer from chemical dependency and mental disorder, and participate in enhancing mental health care delivery in a multidisciplinary, Twelve-Step based treatment environment.   Psychiatrists at Hazelden also help educate staff on best practices in the management of co-occurring disorders.   Our psychiatrist would also undertake duties as medical director of our facility, including being a presence in staffing, assessing, and treatment planning cases.   Hazelden Betty Ford Psychiatrists work collaboratively with others to ensure the best possible holistic treatment for our patients.

The Integrated Provider provides advanced clinical services in coordination with the treatment team consistent with Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation’s Standards of Care. The primary purpose is to provide group therapy and individual counseling/therapy services to persons with co-occurring substance abuse disorder and mental health problems. This role integrates mental health treatment with addiction recovery within a 12 Step, abstinence-based model.   The Integrated Provider participates as a member of a multidisciplinary team, providing mental health and substance use treatment services to patients and clients, including assessment and diagnosis, individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and ongoing care planning.   In the absence of the Addiction Program or Mental Health Supervisor, assume leadership and as possible, supervisory responsibility, of the clinic to ensure coordination of staff and clinical services and continuity of patient care.
