The BARR Trainer and Coach role is responsible for the successful delivery of Building Assets, Reducing Risks (BARR) training to groups of educators across the United States. The position has primary responsibility for providing direct services to schools (may require travel depending on locations), including training and coaching supports. The role will serve as an implementation and subject matter expert for the model as they support schools seeking to implement the BARR model with fidelity.
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
5+ years of experience in the K-12 education field, including:
Minimum of two years’ supervisory experience providing services to communities, individuals, or families
Minimum of five years training experience with adult professionals in counseling, education, human services or related field
Experience in prevention settings and knowledge of the dynamics of substance use disorder and its effect on individuals, families and communities.
Demonstrated experience as a training facilitator with extensive knowledge of prevention, recovery, evidence-based treatment of addiction and mental illness
