    Responsibilities

    Assist the multi-disciplinary team with the management of patients through the rehabilitation process in accordance with prescribed policies, objectives and organizational philosophy. To provide, as needed, assessments, conflict resolution, progress checks and group facilitations as well as any other core functions identified under licensure or certification.

    • Assist staff with implementation of treatment plans and assessments as requested by supervisor.    
    • Provide communication link of information affecting treatment.
    • Educate patients about treatment and the recovery process.
    • Provide individual counseling and guidance to educate patient/client regarding recognition and acceptance of the true nature of their problem, the need for help to overcome the problem and the need to change attitudes and behaviors to enhance recovery.
    • Provide crisis management services in order to prevent, reduce or eliminate emergencies.
    • Facilitate and participate in conflict resolutions. Timely response to situations that interfere with the patient/client’s participation in the treatment program and achievement of recovery goals.
    • Facilitate involvement of appropriate staff in crisis management and problem solving.
    • Coordinate with external resources their services as needed in crisis situations.
    • Take remedial action appropriate to resolve problems, i.e., cross discipline meeting, treatment revisions, new problem identification, alternative treatment placements, conference with patient/client. Etc.
    • Contact appropriate administrative staff in the course of an emergency.

    • Carry out role as Duty Supervisor during prescribe time frames according to policies of crisis management.

    • Carry out policies and procedures of emergencies.

    • Document according to standards of care and practice.

    • Provide transportation services when Transportation Department is not available (sites with Transportation Department only)

    • Monitor, assess and maintain campus security and safety.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Completed Certificate/degree program in addiction counseling or equivalent
    • CADC or LCPC or LCSW
    • CPR certification or attain within 30 days

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Three or more years’ experience in understanding of 12 Step process/program
    • Driver’s License
