The Sales Director, Publishing will manage $10 million in publishing revenue, leading the sales efforts that target the professional markets for Publishing, focusing on Business-to-Business customer contacts through sales, outreach, communication and customer feedback. Responsible for management of a team of five Sales Managers in developing and executing a sales plan to achieve market and division’s strategic and revenue / margin goals. As a member of the management team, this position works closely with the Executive Director of Sales, Director of Marketing and the SBU Marketing Managers (HAZELDEN PUBLISHING) to explore the needs and opportunities within the professional and distribution markets. This position will focus on direct contact and coordination of sales activities to understand the customer’s needs, to target and expand the customer base, and to enhance professional relationships.
Establish and maintain relationships with business-to-business accounts including treatment facilities, corrections professionals, educators, institutions, and government agencies.
Work collaboratively with sales team on tactics, administration, development, planning and organization. Work cooperatively with other departments to contribute to successful outcomes for entire division.
Stay current on all Hazelden Publishing product lines, services and uses; and on market trends, technical developments, competitions, and successful selling strategies. Communicate essential information to aid in product development.
Manage Outreach information using business system and CRM software and standard sales and marketing reports.
