    Responsibilities

    As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will:

    • Provide basic nursing care and treatments to patients, including removing sutures or staples from superficial incisions or lacerations, changing wound dressings and obtain wound cultures
    • Collecting and preparing lab specimens
    • Measuring and recording vital signs
    • Obtaining medical histories on behalf of the physician
    • Providing patient information and instructions 
    • Performing CPR and rendering First Aid in an emergency
    • Operating diagnostic equipment
    • Answering telephones and greeting patients and their families

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Certification or Associate Degree as Certified Medical Assistant from Accredited program.
    • Current CPR/AED certification.
    • One year experience as Certified Medical Assistant.
    • Must be age 18 or older.
    • Minimum of two years Freedom from Chemical Abuse
