    Responsibilities

    Supervise, provide direction, and manage the performance of the Financial Advocates and Insurance Specialists to ensure integration, alignment, and standardization of a solid functioning team and to ensure their work conforms to HBFF’s policies and procedures, and standards of care. Provide individual and group supervision, monitoring of quality trends and implementation of quality improvement initiatives and operations. Participate in the development of strategic business goals of the Foundation and effectively implement goals within the Revenue Cycle. Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills and decision making to maintain good internal and external customer relations, while keeping in mind HBFF’s financial interest.

    • Supervise direct staff to provide and promote integration, alignment, and standardization within the role and HBFF best practices, mission, and vision.
    • Provide supportive and financial leadership to each of the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation sites and collaborate with other department supervisors and leaders to ensure quality of patient care.

    • Provide supervision and leadership support to HBFF, the department, and team by:

      Facilitate the selection, placement and development of new and existing employees to assure a continuous supply of employees who have the skills to provide optimum performance within HBFF’s culture. 
      Conduct one-on-one performance communication sessions with direct reports to measure progress on goals, development plans and provide feedback on progress on a regular basis, including formal annual performance communication 
      Maintain current job descriptions for all supervised positions. 
      Develop and implement schedules for members team as needed.
      Maintain self-awareness of HBFF policies and procedures. Ensure all staff supervised  are updated regularly with changes. 

    • Provide leadership and supervision to implement and monitor results within the department from established strategic plans and pillars (Outcomes, Growth, Performance, Leadership, People).

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree  and 6 years of related work experience, or equivalent
    • 4 years previous experience working with insurance or finance
    • Previous experience with an Electronic Health Record and documentation.
    • Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Office, including Excel

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Lean certification or previous training/experience
    • 2 or more years supervision experience in health care, insurance, or finance
    • Experience with Cerner EHR
