    Responsibilities

    As a Family Program Professional, you will:

    • Present lectures on chemical dependency and the effects on family members and friends.
    • Interview both patients and family members to help set goals and track progress.
    • Lead group discussions in the Family Program.
    • Help to guide the Family Program process. 
    • Engage families to provide then necessary resources and assistance while their loved one is in treatment, provide family phone sessions as appropriate and requested and prepare families for involvement in the family program.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Completed certificate/degree program in addiction counseling or equivalent and be licensed or license eliglble.
    • One or more years providing chemical dependency counseling.
    • Minimum of two years freedom from chemical use problems.
    • Must be 21 years of age or older.
