    This position has dual responsibility of providing leadership/and direct supervision of addiction counselors while also managing a case load of their own.


    As a working supervisor, this role is responsible for managing the daily operations of an addiction program to ensure coordination of staff and clinical services and continuity of patient care. At the same time, this role is responsible for also providing clinical supervision to addiction counselors, students, and clinical interns to facilitate development of clinical competency and ethical practice.


    • Manage daily operations of the site’s addiction program, ensuring the chemical dependency services delivered are in accordance with Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation’s standards of care and whose focus aligns with the strategic plan.
    • Manage the selection, placement, development and performance of Addiction Counselors and interns.


    • Provide addiction rehabilitation services to patients in need according to the Hazelden Betty Ford standards of care as needed.


    • Represent Hazelden Betty Ford services to various audiences to ensure consistent knowledge of services, processes and participation.




    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Completed Certificate/degree program in addiction counseling or equivalent
    • CAP, MCAP, LCSW, or LMHC

    • Five or more years’ experience in the addiction field with a minimum of two years with 12 step facilitation
    • Three or more years providing clinical supervision to students or interns in a chemical dependency setting

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • LMHC, LMFC, LCSW, LPC, LPCC or related field licensure
    • Master's Degree
