Responsibilities

The Marketing Specialist will work with the Executive Director of Marketing, and Business Unit Leaders to develop and implement tactical marketing plan. The Marketing Specialist will manage, develop and implement marketing programs for the assigned business segments and will analyze marketing results against the program expectations, making recommendations for future improvements. Assigned business units include Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies, Recovery Management/Alumni, Butler Center for Research, Medical and Professional Education.

 

  • Develop, implement, and manage marketing plan and programs for the assigned business unit.
  • Work with consumers, marketing research, sales, and new business development staff to create and implement an overall marketing plan supporting business plans provided by the assigned business unit.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify specific ways that products and services can be used and improved to provide a competitive advantage in defined segments.
  • Manage existing business unit marketing programs, including building relationships with key customers and developing a comprehensive understanding of the business unit’s brand and commitments.
  • Identify and implement business development activities to grow revenue and customer base for the business unit.
  • Work with PR and advertising personnel to develop marketing and communication programs that convey the benefits of product in the language of each target segment.
  • Analyze marketing results against marketing program expectations.
  • Coordinate marketing strategies with key HBFF staff to develop marketing communication efforts that are cross divisional in nature and maximize exposure to HBFF’s key marketing messages.

     

  • Act as brand champions in supporting consistent delivery of HBFF and HBFGSAS images and messages and effectively applying those in support of regional and audience-specific needs of SBUs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in marketing/communications
  • Ability to plan marketing programs; and organize, implement, and control marketing efforts.
  • Experience with promotional tools across all media including digital advertising,  print publications , direct mail and sales promotion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with management and internal experts to build relationships and achieve consensus under pressure.
  • Experience in web strategy and social marketing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Health care marketing experience
  • Higher education marketing experience
  • Knowledge of chemical dependency
