Responsibilities

This position works to build a supportive, positive work environment by offering professional human resource services and consultation to employees and management, resulting in an engaged and effective work force. Specific responsibilities include HR Policy and Procedure interpretation, recruitment and on-boarding, employee relations, and employee and management training. This position collects and analyzes HR data, handles basic and complex employee relations issues making the appropriate legal and business decisions, and facilitates coaching and counseling to supervisors or employees as needed. 

  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with business units to support business objectives.
  • Partners with leaders to build and develop talent management strategies, methodologies, tools and metrics in support of overall business goals.
  • Support an environment that encourages engagement.
  • Provide consultation on HR policies, procedures and systems.
  • Provide or manage employee or leader training.
  • Participate in the Human Resources department projects, teams, and assigned areas of expertise;
  • Facilitate the interface between corporate Human Resource initiatives and implementation within business region.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or relevant field
  • SPHR/PHR preferred
  • 6- 9 years of experience in human resources generalist role
  • 2 -3 years of demonstrated success in recruiting, employee relations, training, and organizational development/process consultation, including change management and workforce development experience
  • Must have strong consultation, coaching and facilitation skills; experience working in healthcare or nonprofit is desired.
